Hayabusa GSX1300R

Suzuki’s GSX-1300R is also known as Hayabusa, the world’s fastest bird, introduced in 1999 and immediately began taking honours, with its ultimate performance.

Exceptional, near two hundred mph, performance from it’s 1299cc 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, 16-valve, liquid cooled engine keeps it alongside if not in front of the competition.

Digital electronic fuel injection makes the throttle respond crisply throughout the rev range. State of the art suspension and brakes keep the whole plot together when the going gets tough.

Front forks are inverted 43mm units and fully adjustable, as is the rear aluminium shock.

Twin 320mm discs at the front gripped by 6-piston calipers, rear being 240mm with a twin piston caliper.

Six-speed gearbox with a heavy-duty clutch, featuring a back-torque limiter, for smooth down changing.

Instruments include, fuel gauge, clock, LCD odometer and twin trip meters and a novel fuel consumption gauge.

The headlamps are unique, being vertically mounted.

Unusually for a bike like this, a centre stand is an option as is a gel seat for the wimps amongst us.
