ZRX1200R

Retro styling in the new 2001 Kawasaki ZRX1200R makes it look like a throwback to the 80’s, the good old days, some would say, when sex was safe and motorcycles were dangerous!

What is not retro is the performance and torque bang up to date.

The lack of bodywork shows the power plant, which is based on the Ninja ZX-11.ZRX 1200 Blue

With the 10% increase in capacity, comes an extra 13% of power throughout the low to mid rev range giving plenty of torque for easy riding in town and faultless roll-on acceleration at motorway speeds.

Throttle position and engine load is monitored by the digital ignition, which adjusts to keep throttle response sharp and fuel economy good.

Exhaust is a stainless steel four into one set up.

Twin 310mm front brake discs are gripped by six pot calipers and the rear 250mm unit by a twin piston caliper.
