Valkyrie F6C

The Valkyrie's 1520cc flat 6-cylinder engine is taken from the Gold Wing, but tuned more for torque and roll-on acceleration. It makes for effortless cruising, and long distance comfort. Very smooth but still retaining that powerful character of a true custom bike.

Honda F6C Silver The engine has six 28mm carburettors in place of the Gold Wing's twin 36 mm units. The belt driven camshafts have been tweaked for extra low down grunt, with the 6 into 6 exhaust tuned for extra power. The silencer on each side having 3 individual pipes concealed under it's lustrous chrome exterior giving a unique sound as well as excellent performance.

The gearbox is a smooth changing 5-speed close ratio unit, with 5th being an overdrive. Transmission is silky smooth shaft drive, which is maintenance free helping to keep the bike's chrome clear of any traces of oil. Transmission is fed by an hydraulic clutch.

The electrics have plenty of reserve power for all the accessories you might need. A 546-watt alternator charges the battery. The engine also has screw and lock nut valve clearances to help reduce the time spent on servicing, and maintenance costs.

The frame is supported at the front by 45mm inverted forks fitted top and bottom with triple clamps. The rear is held up by 5-way preload adjustable twin chrome covered shocks. Polished aluminium wheels are hollow cast reducing the unsprung weight. Honda F6C Silver

Brakes are dual front and single rear discs gripped by twin pot calipers. Fuel tank holds 5.3 gallons of unleaded. Seat is a two-piece custom styled with detachable passenger section and rear backrest.

Instruments are white faced and enclosed in chrome cases. Indicators are push to cancel.

The Valkyrie or F6C , like the Gold Wing is made in USA.
Soon to become 1800cc with an alloy frame in 2003 if Honda have their way.
